There are many amazing trekking spots in the Uttarakhand region of India. Among many such spots there is the Nag Tibba trek near Mussoorie which is a 9,915 ft high summit in the Garhwal region. One of the finest beginners trek in Uttarakhand, it begins from the Pantwari village on the foothills of Garhwal. When you are on this 6 hours’ drive which starts from Dehradun you will witness amazing nature’s sceneries surrounding you. The snow capped Himalayan ranges such as Gangotri, Kalanaag, Banderpoonch and Swargarohini is visible at distance looking majestic.
The Nag Tibba Trek is an easy way to spend the weekend as this trek can be completed in a short span of time. So, if you are looking for a weekend adventure, this is the best place to go. While taking this trail you will hear the sweet chirping of the mountain birds and see the exquisite breed of the butterflies crossing paths with you. Also the aroma of canopies on the way will please your senses all along the trail.
On the first day, camping at Nag Tibba Temple will be done amidst the wilderness after an approximately 8 km trek. Post monsoon months are considered as the best time to undertake this trek. The Nag Tibba trek offers many captivating views till you reach the Summit.
NOTE: To reach the base camp, board an overnight train from New Delhi to Dehradun and then hire a jeep that will take you to the base camp Pantwari or Ask Trekkers Of India to arrange pickup from Dehradun to Pantwari
Admire the nature’s paradise through this weekend trek that will give you ample of time to relax and enjoy the serenity of the environment after hectic routine of the metro cities. The climb till Nag Tibba Summit is very steep and slow, so you need to be careful while going uphill.
After spending the night on the top point, the second day of the trail would be a downhill trek to the base camp. If you plan to trek in the months of Winter, you will find huge patches of snow everywhere which will make the trek a little slippery but the weather is still manageable as compared with high altitude trails.
Kasol has become the favorite weekend gateways for the youth for years.
You can board a bus from New Delhi ISBT to Kasol and the buses are obtainable everyday. It takes around 12 hours from Delhi to Kasol. The unclouded and sunlit tone of the skies meet our eyes at 1700mts from sea level, and the traditional significance of the Himalayan ethos.
The trek begins with the hearty breakfast early morning under the sun-drenched firmament and enters into the Grahan village. Buras, the vibrant reddish colored flowers enrich your pathways, and mollifies our bodies and souls. The heavens itself come downstairs to meet us, through the dense meadows. Grahan Nalah is gradually sharp and rock strewn, but soon, you cross paths with flamboyant canvas. The whiteout and snowstorms are seen in lavishness.
We hope you had a great, relaxed night. You will start your journey from Grahan, and right after half an hour, you arrive at the cropping land.
The neighboring mountains give you a glimpse of the Min Thach, Nagaru, Sar top. The timberlands become steep, and you will almost sense the darkness empowering the surrounding as the Sun lessens its brilliance from here onwards. You will be getting hold of Thach, and it takes around 7kms from Grahan. The pastures provide a plethora of awe-inspiring views, and you can also have the hint of Chanderkhani from North West. Nagaru, our campsite for the day is on the east of the ridgeline. Water scarcity may begin.
It is advisable to cover the distance from Min Thach to Nagaru in the daytime to avoid the disruption due to climatic changes. It has the gradual descent, and the, steadily join into the crag.
Snowfall or the snow storms turn the passages into the slicy, slippery surroundings.
The flourishing grasslands encircle you with the demarcated ridge and with steepy sharp margins.
The great quantity of the snow makes the passage undetectable and unseen, so you should be cautious.
Must stay close to the trek members and trek leaders, so that you can see the techniques of the ice axe, and walk carefully. You will reach Nagaru, and take a long breath, grasp the immortal asset of God.
Manikaran peak is easily detected from the grandiose, and you will be impressed with the heartiest emotions.
The gasping exquisiteness of the Himalayan ranges of Parvati valley on the northern side brings the jaw dropping gorgeousness.
Call it a night, as the following day is the day of summit and proper sleep is very essential for the trekkers.
The uplifting picture of the pine trees, adorable pastures and the impressive scintillating sights have the best to offer to the world, and this undoubtedly is the greatest view for everyone. The roller-coaster ride of the summit day has turned out to be very exhausting and tiring, so the relaxation is much needed for today.
The trek must begin early in the morning, and the trail must follow the southern direction. The freezing breezes on the heights cause tiredness. Walk steadily and do not hurry. The magnificence keep you going. The first thing on the way is Nagaru point, which signifies almost more than half the distance and Sar pass is not far way.
The outlines of several hills can be seen on the Southern-eastern part with the Trishul peak holding the colored flags.
You now cover the most challenging part of the trek, as the last step is tough, largely steep and entombed in the depth.
As the zenith is approached, the ends will look even more beautiful than expected.
The next campsite Biskeri Thach, is reached after walking an another slope down the valley, in between the spectacular meadows.
And at the end of the trek, the rivulet is on left that you have to track for further walking. Explore the unplanned, as the passage is not well defined, and one has to find his way on his own. The hoax is, the trekkers have to follow downhill with a huge rock with the rope, and the journey beyond takes you to the Pulga and Tulga villages, differentiated by a small brook, and ends in Barsheni, which is allegedly the last hamlet of the Parvati valley. From here, it takes 5 hours to cover 10kms, and the, you can find a taxi, cab to Kasol.
Haven’t you been transmuted from a different empire to an entirely new one?
